Portrait of Robert Boyle (1627-1691)
Original mezzotint portrait engraving of chemist and natural philosopher Robert Boyle, done (ca 1689-1690) by English engraver John Faber the Younger (1684-1756), famous for his mezzotint engraving technique. "Done after the marble bust in her Majesty's Hermitage in the Royal Garden at Richmond." This mezzotint is found in the British National Portrait Gallery archive collection.
