Model of crystal structure, binary compound, unidentified
Ball and wire model on wood base. Cubic model, unlabeled. Balls painted or stained black, orange, yellow, blue, gray, red; base painted black.
Ball and wire models show the relative positions of the centers of the component atoms in a representative volume element of a crystal. The sizes of the balls have no significance; the actual atoms in most structures are in fairly close contact. The scale of most models is approximately 1 inch = 1 Å.
MEDIUM: Metal, wood; FORMAT: Painted, stained; LENGTH: Base 13 1/2 x 13 5/8 in.; height approx. 14 1/8 in.; QUANTITY: 1 model
Topics: Chemistry, Crystallography
