Particles Are A Family Affair
Transferred from 16mm film to video tape in September 1991. An interview done for National Educational TV, "Spectrum." Narrator, David Prowitt, interviews Gell-Mann on the subject of the physicist's "tools of the trade," especially accelerators. Gell-Mann viewed the film on May 28, 1991, and remarked that he should have mentioned quarks. Otherwise it was a good representation of the then state of physics; that certain things predicted had already come true.
