La Chiave del calendaro[sic] Gregoriano, 1583
First edition; guide to the Gregorian calendar written in Italian and published in France (Lyon), 1583. Martelli, a member of the great Italian family of politicins, merchants, bankers, poets and prelates, was at this time bishop of Glandèves in southern France. He had already written another book on the calendar, published in Florence in 1578.
This work is bound together with Pierre Belloy, Briefve explication de l'an courant, also related to the Gregorian calendar (printed Paris, 1583).
