Spherical-type chamber with wooden stand. Used from about 1930 on. See Physical Review 27:235 (1931). In good working condition as of 1/70. Note: 10/11/91: Victor Neher described it as a "high pressure ionization chamber" with 30 atmospheric pressure. It was, he said, used more than other instruments by Millikan and was sunk in Muir Lake, among other things. This instrument is the most valuable of its type. See also Neher's typed description, dated 1982 (in file). Manufacturer: Caltech Physics Shop.
