Newton's Lunar Theory, Exhibited Analytically
One folding lithographed plate. 1 p.l., iii, 35 pp., 8 vo, attractive modern marbled boards, morocco lettering piece on spine. First edition of a very rare book. "The object of the following Treatise is, to place Newton's lunar Theory before the reader in a form adapted to the state of modern analysis, still preserving the plan of its inventor. Its merits are, therefore, only those of a translation from the hieroglyphics of Geometry, into what is now the vernacular language of science."--from the Preface.
