ERIC TEMPLE BELL: 1883-1960. Mathematician; Professor of Mathematics, CIT 1926-53. A specialist in the theory of numbers, Bell also wrote science fiction novels and stories using the pen name "John Taine". The collection includes literary and scientific manuscripts and correspondence with publishers regarding mathematics and science fiction. Further material includes a portion of Bell's reprints and material on the Rye Conference, June 1938.
