U.S. Medal for Merit
Awarded by President Harry Truman on April 15, 1946. Medal is in form of pendant with ribbon and bar pin. Pendant has circle of white stars set in blue enamel. Gold eagle in center stands on bundle of arrows with motto: "Novus ordo seclorum." Reverse has text: "United States of America/ For Merit." No inscription to Karman or date.
