Oxford Cricket. Hylton Philipson.

Hylton ("Punch") Philipson, born in Tynemouth, 1866, was educated at Eton and New College Oxford, where he became captain of the University XI cricket team in 1889. While most famous as a cricketer, he was also prominent in football and tennis.

["Spy" was the pseudonym of caricaturist/illustrator Sir Leslie Ward (1851-1922).]
