Portrait of August Borsig (1804-1854)
Photogravure reproduction after a painted portrait of German entrepreneur and iron works founder August Borsig, who produced the first locomotive in 1841. The original painting was done by Prussian neoclassical painter Franz Kruger (1797-1865). Borsig's engineering plant and iron foundary can be seen in background.
