Cold Steel. Alfred Hutton. (Men of the Day series).

"Men of the Day," No. 888. August 13, 1903.

Captain Alfred Hutton, born 1839 in Yorkshire, was a famous British fencer and authoritative sword scholar, and wrote many books on the subject throughout his lifetime. He served in the army cavalry in India and became a member of the King's Dragoon Guards. He also founded the London Throat and Ear Hospital and School of Arms for his three regiments. He became president of the Amateur Fencing Association. [Biographical text accompanies caricature.]
