Portrait of Josef Ressel (1793-1857)

Photogravure reproduction of a lithograph of Austrian inventor Josef Ressel, who is most famous for his invention of the ship's propeller in 1827. The original lithograph done by Jozsef Marastoni (1834-1895), is possibly after original done by Vincenzo Poiret (d. 1868). [Note: Marastoni's signature with the year 1868 appear on the print, below portrait, as well.]
