CHARLES FRANCIS RICHTER, 1900-1985. Seismologist, Professor of Seismology, CIT 1937-1970. Known internationally for development with Gutenberg of the Earthquake Magnitude Scale and for research on seismic regionalization. The pulp science fiction magazines in this collection date betweeen 1926 and 1955 and include: Amazing Stories (with Annual and Quarterly); Astounding Science Fiction; Astounding Stories, Thrilling Wonder Stories, Fantastic Story, and a range of other titles.
