Grand Cross of Service with Star (Das Grosse Verdienstkreuz mit Stern), Germany
Red enameled cross in form of pendant on ribbon, in colors red, gold and black. Matches large pin (the star?) in form of red cross on gold background. Central emblem is German eagle in black enamel. With accompanying pin and studs in blue case. Award established in 1951 for service political, economic, social and intellectual in the rebuilding of Germany. Awarded by the German government.
