Papers of Harold Wayland 1948-2001

HAROLD WAYLAND (1909-2000), professor of engineering science at Caltech, 1949-1979. Wayland headed a research group at Caltech that studied the flow of blood in living and artifical systems through intravital microscopy. He collaborated in this work with Wallace Frasher, MD, of the USC School of Medicine. The studies led to an interestest in the rheology of blood in the context of microcirculation.
